Oil Changes
Most cars with conventional oil require an oil and filter change every 5000km or every 3 months. Synthetic oil will extend the lifespan to last up to 8000km or 5 months. There are specialty oils available that can be recommended based on your specific vehicle needs.
Tires
Tires should always be inflated to the car’s manufacturer recommendation, which can often be located by the driver’s door. Tire pressures should always be checked before long drives. Tires experience a great amount of wear and tear, a professional is required to address any issues with uneven usage.
*Note: DO NOT inflate tires to the maximum tire pressure that is written on the side wall of the tire- they will be over-inflated.
Wheels
Wheels should be rotated every 10000- 15000km to ensure even tread wear.
Brakes
We recommend servicing your brakes every 25000km, or every 6 months, to ensure even wear and to prolong the life of the brake system. When we service your brakes we lube the sliders and put anti-seize on the pads.
Engine
We recommend allowing us to test the coolant every 100 000km for its strength and ability to cool the engine.
Spark plus require a visual check by a professional every 120000km to make sure they are free of cracks and are providing a strong spark.
Air filters require a visual inspection by a professional every 20 000-30 000km to ensure filters are clean, which allows the engine to breathe properly for maximum performance.
Cabin filters require a visual inspection by a professional every 30 000-40 000km to ensure the air you breathe in your car is clean. This is particularly useful if you smoke in your car or drive through areas with high quantities of dust or debris.
Intervals can change depending on car manufacturer and severity of use of vehicle.
Rust Coating
We recommend rust coating your vehicle once a year before the winter season. Salt and snow cause rust, which can cause damage to the exhaust system. Rust coating will help keep the salt and snow from making contact with the undercarriage of your vehicle.
